Horden Cemetery Extension

BCE Northern was employed by Horden Parish Council on a project to undertake works to the new Cemetery land adjacent to the existing Cemetery at Horden Village. Horden is a village in County Durham, England. It is situated on the North Sea coast, to the east of Peterlee. Horden was a mining village until the closure of the Horden Colliery in 1987. South Shields Promenade

As the contracted organisation we work closely with the Local Authority on many schemes throughout the year and recently worked on the South Shields Promenade Connectivity Scheme. South Tyneside Council are currently regenerating the promenade in a number of phases and BCE Northern have been involved in the transformation projects since the first phase of regeneration (see Sea Change, South Shields in Special Projects).

Judges Lodgings – Plawsworth

The scope of work was to reconstruct and resurface the driveway at the Judge’s Lodgings in Plawsworth, County Durham. The work consisted the removal of the existing gravel driveway, installation of new channel drainage work, new road construction, installation of resin bonded surfacing and landscaping work to existing verges. All work carried out was completed on time and within the Client’s budget.

Morpeth Road Primary School is a new build school in Blyth, Northumberland. It was developed on the old brownfield site of Bates Colliery with access links off the existing adoptable highways. It opened in September 2011 and can accommodate up to 420 pupils.
